My approach
Start with the work.
Then choose the technology.
The first question is where the business gets stuck. The answer may be a better setup of an existing tool, a connection between systems, or a small application.
01
Understand the handoff.
Talk with the people doing the work. Trace one recurring issue from the first input to the final action. Identify who owns it and what information is missing.
02
Check what already exists.
Review the capabilities, supported connections and permissions in your current tools. Use them where they meet the need.
03
Make one useful thing work.
Agree on a small scope and a measure that matters. Build a working version with human review where decisions affect customers, money or safety.
04
Prove it in your setting.
Check real cases with the team, compare against a baseline and document the limits. Decide together what deserves wider use and who will own it.
Useful automation keeps people in control.
- Use supported integrations and the least access needed.
- Keep source links and human approval for AI-assisted drafts.
- Use sample data until permissions and handling are agreed.
- Define support, backups and a way to recover before expanding.
What keeps falling
between the tools?
Tell me the task, where it gets stuck, and what a better day would look like.
